Karnataka: 5 held for objecting police officer from discharging duty
MANGALURU: Five youths have been arrested for preventing a woman police officer (traffic) from discharging her duties and using foul words against her.
The accused are Vikesh, 27, Jithesh, 31, Austin, 23, Orwin, 21 and Aldrin 18, all residents of Moodbidri.
According to officials at the Bantwal Town police station where a case is registered, the incident took place on Sunday night at Narayana Guru Circle, B C Road, on Sunday evening.

The woman officer stopped a car that had tinted glasses. The youngsters in the car did not wear seat belts either, according to police. As she decided to impose a fine, the accused used foul words against her and also objected her from discharging her duty.
Later, they were arrested and the car seized.
